02 — How I work

How I decide

  1. Research before pixels

    Complaints come before screens.

    RIPEN — research agents analysed 873 one- and two-star reviews to my questions; the findings killed two of my own hypotheses before any design.

  2. Cut what doesn’t earn its place

    Even finished work goes if it doesn’t help the user.

    Bukvyk — archived 42 finished AI-generated scenes: a still picture couldn’t make “true or false” unambiguous.

  3. Measure, don’t guess

    If I can’t put a number on it, it’s an opinion.

    cashtime — traced 719 applications: spouse details came up 68 times and had been broken for over a year. It got its own screen.

  4. Honest over pretty

    A missing feature beats one that lies.

    Soma — a wrong number is worse than a missing one: handwritten lab reports aren’t read, and a unit the OCR lost is never guessed.

  5. AI does the typing, I make the calls

    I set the goal, keep the decision log and make the agents prove their work.

    Soma — code computes the facts, the on-device model only phrases them: off-topic content in answers fell from 20.8 markers to 0.03.

03 — About

The short version

I’ve designed digital products since 2020, across fintech, SaaS and health tech, almost always as the only designer on the team, so product decisions came with the job. At cashtime that became the role: I joined the founding team, and since 2023 I’ve been its only product owner and product designer, running the backlog for a team of about six.

On the side I build my own apps end to end with Claude Code — RIPEN, Soma and Bukvyk. The research, design and decisions are mine; AI agents write the code, and I check what they build.
